29 év tanítás után Ken Aldridge otthagyta a főiskolát, azonban továbbra is ad leckéket, méghozzá a WSOP 2009, a Póker Világbajnokság résztvevőinek. Aldridge közel 1500 másik játékosnak tanította meg hogyan kell megnyerni az $1,500 no-limit hold em versenyt és a vele járó $428,259 fődíjat.
Az 57 éves Aldridge ezidáig csupán két nagyobb póker versenyen vett rész és ez a győzelem volt az első WSOP szereplése.
